First I want to say that it is a DAMN SHAME that I can\'t give this place MORE \n THAN 5 STARS. If I could, I would give Placentia Super Service 100 STARS! \n\nFound Placentia super service on Google because I needed an oil change, brakes, and a few other things that are a bit overdue. I always read the reviews of a place before going, especially the bad ones. To my delight and surprise I found many amazing reviews about a guy there named Jasper. I made sure to call ahead and see if he was there because I wanted to deal with him alone. When I arrived I was greeted with a huge warm smile and a firm handshake by the owner Bob and I asked if I could work with Jasper. He chuckled and said people always ask for him (good sign). As Jasper came out and greeted me I knew he was good people. I told him my issues and was clear that I didn\'t want \"anything extra\". He assured me that at Super Service they would run a full test and let me know what he found but would not pressure me to buy anything I did not come in for. I sat in the waiting room for about 30-40 minutes before Jasper came back with a paper of his findings. As promised he showed me what I wanted to see as well as some things that I should know about (air filter,drive belt). He showed me the exact parts cost and labor costs and informed me what was pressing and what could wait. I highly appreciated how he didn\'t say I NEEDED it all right now like other shops have done. I was very impressed by his calming demeanor and he made me feel like this wasn\'t about money, rather it was about what I wanted and letting me make the decision without pressure. Because of this I actually scheduled a time next week to get the rest of the issue handled! Super Service is not your typical mechanics shop. The lighthearted feeling and general camaraderie amongst the staff was refreshing. I found a mechanic FOR LIFE and would recommend this place to anyone that needs work done and doesn\'t want to deal with the hassle regular shops. \n\nPS. Ask for Jasper!

I went in for an oil change on a Saturday afternoon with no appointment. It took a while but they did excellent work. I was given a list of things that may need to be replaced or repaired that I could take home and review. The employees are very nice and did not pressure me into getting extra work done. The waiting area is comfortable and kid friendly. I would visit again. Thank you.

Took my truck for a check engine light and was expecting to be something big. They where completely honest with me and all it was was a loose wire. What got me was that they didn't come to me and tell me I needed to fix this and that which is common at shops. Rob and AJ have a great crew and their state of the art facility is awesome. After using the Nissan dealer for my car\'s regular maintenance, I went with Firestone Auto for oil changes, breaks and things like that. \nLately, they\'ve started finding URGENT needed repairs which seem very expensive but are pushed on you with their deferred interest rate credit card. \nAt Placentia Super Service, it was refreshing to receive a 60 point inspection, with my oil change, that went in accordance to the wear and tear of my vehicle. The needed repairs were presented in order of priority, along with their urgency or in today\'s case; lack of, and without pressure.\nI also like the flexibility of being able to make my appointments on-line. \n\nI highly recommend this place, specially if you are starting to feel like your regular mechanic/auto place is taking advantage of your lack of knowledge about car repairs.

I was recently referred to Placentia Super Service via CARMAX. I have an extended warranty with CARMAX and learned that their dedicated repair facilities were they were experiencing a backlog on appointments. CARMAX related that Placentia Super Service is one of the Authorized Repair Pal representatives associated with their nation wide CARMAX warranty program. Thus, this was my introduction to the Placentia Super Service automotive maintenance / repair garage. I am happy to relate that I received excellent service from the Placentia Super Service team. They facilitated a rental car with Enterprise through my CARMAX warranty....diagnosed the problem with my vehicle....arranged for authorization for repairs from CARMAX...kept me informed on the status of the repairs. I was impressed with their research / knowledge of the specifics related to my vehicle - a VW TDI (which has some interesting atypical technical requirements). I was pleasantly surprised to find that Placentia Super Service also assessed mechanical issues (beyond my initial reason for seeking warranty claim service) and discussed these additional pending issues with CARMAX and subsequently arranged to have these issues addressed via warranty as well. Placentia Super Service has a friendly team and maintains a very organized clean repair facility - which feature: wide screen TV; coffee service; clean restroom faciliites and complimentary snacks. I also learned that Placentia Super Service provides an additional 3 yr / 36K mile warranty on the repairs that they performed...beyond my original CARMAX warranty coverage. Both Bob the owner and Don where very helpful in diagnosing my trucks issues and also offering honest feedback on some cosmetic improvements so it would work with my budget. My car had a complicated transmission problem that took a lot of problem solving. Although I was frustrated about the amount of time it took to complete the job, they stuck with it until it was fixed. They offered a loaner car which was appreciated but I declined. I’m happy to have my car back and the problem is solved. I would have given 5 stars but there were times when we were told we would get updates on the repair progress that we didn’t get. To end on a positive note, their staff was very professional and they stand behind their work.

The shop has a friendly, courteous, professional staff in the front office, including Bob, Don and Jasper, and ASE certified technicians like AJ in the shop. Their prices are reasonable and the 3-year/36,000-mile warranty and 12-month/12,000-mile roadside assistance is a real plus.

We had been quoted a very high amount for work needed on our Honda Pilot. It was far out of our budget so we put the work off in hopes of finding a service store with a lower quote. Placentia Super Service was highly recommended within our community so we took out car in for a simple oil change and to get a quote for the extra work needed. We received a warm welcome and a tour of the shop. Even though they were busy, they were completely transparent in letting us know the estimated time we could expect our car to be gone and took in our car for a complete check. After the oil change was completed and they had checked our car, we received a text with a link to a complete diagnostic report which was thorough and easy to understand. And they came in 5 time lower in cost to get the extra work done. Since having our car back, it's running great and we've been happy with the results. We now plan to take in our second car to have the necessary work done that we were also quote much higher elsewhere. We trust the guys at Placentia Super Service to do a thorough and trustworthy job when it comes to regular maintenance and larger repair work on our cars.

These guys were great, i have the carmax warranty care and they took very good care of my vehicle and kept me updated with pricing and allowed me to keep my vehicle there while i was out of town. When i first bought the car i had my initial and primary concerns taken care of at carmax for the first few weeks. After that carmax did not really help me and i didnt want to wait another 2 weeks for a visit. When i brought it into Placentia Super Service i explained the concerns, they put it on a lift for me and i explained everything. They also fixed the issues Carmax supposedly repaired since carmax did not fix it properly the first time. These guys took there time, helped me get a good rate, and quote me other repairs i did not notice at first. I will be coming back for continued service and any warranty work

I thought I needed minimum maintenance but ended up needing a lot more work than I thought. When Don called me, he explained everything thoroughly and in a way I could understand. My mother-in-law takes her car here and has great experiences with Placentia Super Service. I asked them what it would cost to replace my air conditioning system. I had been quoted $1200 to $2000 by 3 other shops. PSS came in at just over $1000 so I decided to give them a shot. I’m so glad I did! “It was a couple of blown fuses and a Freon recharge”. $200! They’ve got a customer for life! It’s hard to find an honest mechanic, particularly at the national chains. PSS is legit.

My son took a dip to hard and blew his oil pan. We took it to Bob and his crew. They were calming , reasonably priced and wonderful to work with. I will always return to them.. If i could give 10 stars I would !!!

Every time we've been here, the level of service has exceeded our expectations. On a recent visit with our van that I knew needed some tender loving care, we were called by Ryan and he very professionally and with no pressure explained all that the mechanic had found during his evaluation of the vehicle. I trust these guys because they explain things simply and break down which items are critical to be addressed and which could potentially wait. It is refreshing and not so common anymore to have someone take the time to explain things and answer your questions. I recently took my 2005 GMC Yukon, I came in stressed and annoyed, left happy and satisfied with the service and the cost after taking it into PSS! They did eventing they could to get the ticking noise fixed on my truck and to save me some money, but push came to shove and we had to do a deeper repair. Bob and Ryan were excellent with their service and their updates when I would reach out. The tech they use as well here is awesome from the diagnostic link to show you what they recommend, to the text to reach the shop with updates. They got the job done and fixed a little things here and there after the repair but they were prompt in getting them taken care of fast! The warranty for their repairs as well is awesome! They really do care about their clients and want to keep the repeat clients! I am coming back for all of my vehicles repairs as well as my wife's vehicle. I highly recommend Placentia Super Service to anyone with Auto repair issues! Everything was done honestly, promptly, & affordably!

My 2008 GMC Acadia has 200k+...engine shaking badly, service traction control always comes on. The dealer wants to bring down the engine to check. Other shop said need to replace the engine. My last resort- tried Placentia Super Service to troubleshoot it. They were able to fix my vehicle without bringing down or replacing the engine. They were honest to tell me I dont need to buy parts. Im very pleased that i found Placentia Super Service- Friendly, honest and very knowgeable. Thank you Bob/Adrian

Thanksgiving vacation was here. I was going to be driving almost 500 miles one way to Northern California and I hadn't had the brakes in my car checked. Two reasons - time and every time I took my car in for grinding, binding and pulling brakes the dealer told me everything about the brakes was fine. I got recommendations from friends, then I saw an ad for a free brake inspection AND same day service. I read their reviews and decided to take in my car on Monday because I had time and that Wednesday I was leaving for points north. The brakes were evaluated, damage explained, the amount of time needed to repair were given and if needed while I waited, a ride home! Traffic was dense up and back, it stopped dead 3 different times up and saw 3 accidents on the return. Plus, all the stop and go in between. We're alive and healthy today due to their Great Work and Service! I highly recommend them!!!

I cannot say enough great things about Placentia Bob's Super Service! I towed my car to their shop and they called me with an estimate and diagnosis within hours. Bob and his team were very patient and kind as I took the time to discuss the estimate with my other half. My car was back on the road by the next day. Bob even applied their current coupons and discounts without me asking! Talk about customer service. We won't take our cars anywhere else!

Best of all my $5600.00 nightmare was literally cut to some $480.00. Grateful to Bob & team for diagnosing a very difficult problem with our vehicle and making reasonable recommendations to fix the car without putting us in the poorhouse. Everything that The Placentia team said they'd do, they did, and exceeded our expectations.

The owner of a local small shop told me that I needed a costly (dealer parts only) catalytic converter for my car. I took it to Placentia Super Service and Bob did a diagnostic. He sent the summary to my phone, and showed me the detailed paper report and explained it. He looked me straight in the eyes and I was confident that it was true because it was exactly what the dealer told me a year ago. After several hours my car was ready. Parts and labor was half the estimate of the other shop, and I didn't even need the service they suggested. I now have an auto shop that I trust to take my cars that has competent equipment, good service, and competitive rates. I'll be back!

I brought my Totota Highlander in after reading great Yelp reviews and comparing. I needed a smog check which included a necessary and pricy Carbon Cannister. Bob and Ryan were very friendly and helpful without any pressure to use their service. They seem to have a great team concept. The loaner car for the day was on them, and I also received a AAA discount and half off the smog check. I will definitely be back, and recommend their service center to friends and family. Placentia Super Service is the only shop I will take my car for any type of service.... You can expect top of the line service from the whole team... The customer service is friendly, timing is great, efficiency is on point, prices are very reasonable and the work is done right...I recommend this shop to anyone that I hear has a car problem... even strangers I don't know haha... If you just try them I know you will continue to use them for all your car repair needs..
